Fox Valley Career Center Jamboree

 The fourth FVCC Fire Science/ EMT Jamboree took place on Friday, April 8th, 2022. Over 100 students from three Career Centers: Fox Valley Career Center, Indian Valley Vocational Center, and Kankakee Area Career Center, participated in skill building activities directly connected to their future careers. 



EMT students rotated through sessions such as; Bleeding Control, Patient Assessment, Ambulance Operations, and Mock Interviews. Eight students have been offered jobs with several ambulance companies.


Fire Science students rotated through sessions such as: Forcible Entry and Ventilation courses through the Illinois Fire Service Institute, Fire Behavior, and Bleeding Control. Fire Science students that completed the IFSI Forcible Entry and Ventilation courses will receive a course completion certificate. The skills completed in these two courses apply to IL State FireFighter certification.
