Blackberry Creek students can start their morning off with a kindness statement created by students for students. The Kindness Machine has been developed to empower students and continue to build a positive school climate. Our hallway buzzes with excitement as students wait in line to see what their special kindness capsule holds.
Each Blackberry Creek student has had an opportunity to participate in getting the Kindness Machine up and running. Students celebrated international SEL day by creating kindness statements for the machine. Fifth-grade students created a script and video to share with the school about what to expect when visiting the kindness machine. All fifth-grade students completed a survey to indicate what role they would like to have once the kindness machine was open to the school.
We are thrilled to provide each volunteer an opportunity to help this month or next. Our Kindness Machine will surely help us end our school year on a positive note!
