Last year the Kaneland Board of Education discussed and approved a student ambassador position to be added to the Board of Education in order to gain student’s perspective. This process included an application and interview process that was conducted with Dr. Horne and Dr. Leden at the beginning of the school year.
On Monday, September 12th, Dr. Todd Leden introduced Lindsay Yost as the Student Ambassador to the Board of Education for the 2022-2023 school year. Lindsay is a well-respected role model for students who shows integrity, maturity, and dedication to the Kaneland School District. A few highlights from Lindsay’s involvement at Kaneland include: 4 years in Cheerleading, 4 years in Competitive Marching Band, 2 years in National Honor Society, 3 years with Student Council and is currently the Spirit Chair. Outside of Kaneland, Lindsay has volunteered over 50 hours at Marianjoy Hospital, and multiple times for Feed My Starving Children and Meals On Wheels.
Lindsay begins her term on September 29th and we look forward to her involvement and interaction with the Board of Education.
