Several years ago staff member, Brian Willis started collecting pop tabs with the idea of getting to 1 million. This was significant because the Kaneland community lost Julia Pratt one of the best students/person, to cancer back then. Ronald McDonald House was a vital part of treatment for both her and her family. At RMH, they have a tree of life that they put a person's name on if 1 million tabs are donated in that person's honor.
Brian is proud to say over break Julia's mother and him went to RMH and donated what turned out to be our 1 millionth tab. Julia will forever have her name on a leaf on that tree in Oak Lawn.
THANK YOU to everybody who has made this possible!!! The family would also like to express their appreciation to everybody's effort.
