The Kaneland FFA hosted the first Section 6 Agricultural Education CDE (Career Development Event) on October 11, 2023. The goal of the Ag Education CDE is to prepare students for careers in agricultural education. Prior to the event, FFA members were required to write a 45 minute lesson plan for an introductory level agriculture class. At the contest, students taught a portion of their lesson to a set of judges, answered questions, and reflected on their teaching practices.
Kaneland FFA Member Georgia H. placed 1st in the Section level. Her lesson was about primal cuts of beef cattle. She will now advance to the District level competition in February. Congratulations Georgia!
