As we conclude the first semester, it is a perfect time to reflect on our learners. Each student in Kaneland has been asked for multiple years to continually reflect on their personal learner profile. The intent of the learner profile is to provide a reflection tool for students and staff to begin to know their learning styles, enrovinements, and personal drivers. The learner profile should include interests, learning traits, goals and so much more. This is a perfect tool to reflect with your child on their learning progression. Please ask your child the following questions and they may even share their actual learner profile document with you!
-What is your preferred learning environment?
-What content do you have the most interest in?
-What are your current short term goals?
-What long term goal do you have your eye on?
