The West Aurora District 129 Weisner Center recently hosted the VALEES Regional Welding and Fabrication Challenge.
Students from West Aurora District 129 hosted the top welding students from Fox Valley Career Center, East Aurora District 131, West Aurora District 129, Oswego High School, and Indian Valley Vocational Center.
Indian Valley Vocational Center achieved enough points to take home the trophy for best overall team.
FVCC winners: Michael T. won First place in Oxy-fuel, Kyle R. won 3rd place in shielded metal arc welding, and Joey H. placed 4th in gas medal arc welding.
