Students at McDole Elementary School held its first “Book & Jammies Night” of the school year with a virtual visit with acclaimed children’s author, Jarrett Lerner. Lerner is the author of several children’s books, including A Work in Progress, the EngiNerds series, and the Nat the Cat series.
Lerner featured his new book series, Scare School, to students and even wore “banana pajamas” to join the theme of the evening. Students were then invited to “draw along” with Lerner, learning how to draw several of the main characters from his books. A book raffle took place the next day where copies of Scare School and Nat the Cat were distributed to students of all grade levels.
