Third grade students at John Stewart Elementary had the opportunity to self-select a math room to best meet their needs as a learner. Students chose among the five available rooms: 1) Addition Strategies, 2) Subtraction Strategies, 3) Mult/Div Fact Practice, 4) Mult/Div Word Problems, 5) Thinking Tasks/Problem Solving Mult/Div Fact Practice. The students seemed to really enjoy the ability to make a choice for their learning and work with other students in the grade level with similar needs.
