John Shields students have been busy reading many of the Illinois Bluestem/Rebecca Caudill 2025 Award books. Since the beginning of November, students have been competing against other classes to see who could read the most. As we near January’s end, students in 4th & 5th grade have read over 250 books from the award list! Every book read earns Knights tickets.
One student used his tickets to be a “ballboy” at the Varsity Boys basketball game against Morris. There are still many great prizes to be given, including a gift certificate to the Spring Scholastic Book Fair! So keep on reading those Bluestem and Caudill award books!
